Staff Up is seeking an experienced Rebar Estimator for a construction company located in Dallas, TX 75220

Compensation: $65,000.00/YR

Job Description:

The Rebar Estimator is responsible for preparing cost estimates by analyzing plans, job specification, and requirements provided by customers and the sales team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Creating and processing accurate, complete rebar and material quotes
• Communicating with customers
• Working to support multiple customers
• Reading civil/ structural/ architectural plans
• Works autonomously to provide quick and accurate quotes on a daily basis
• Must be able to work in web based plan rooms/websites
• Analyze and interpret company's scope of work from bid items lists
• Read and interpret TXDot and city plans
• Estimate material quantities that company provides on each job based on the bid items list and downloaded plans
• Write up thorough and accurate quotes of each job providing item descriptions, pricing and terms

Required Education & Experience:

1 year of experience in construction, construction supply, estimating, or project coordination

• Strong interpersonal and communications skills needed with an understanding of fundamentals in estimating and project controls
• Ability to breakdown construction operations into a logical sequence of activities; Fundamental understanding of construction phasing and organization of building components
• Experience using computers for a variety of tasks, including applications such as On Screen Takeoff software, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and rebar data entry programs for formulating proposals and project management
• Working knowledge of industry reference material (i.e. CRSI and ACI)
• Experience using Bluebeam (Preferred) or other OST
• High school diploma required
• Bilingual – English/Spanish (Preferred)
