Job Description
Description:
United Way of the Bluegrass (UWBG) works to create the opportunity for all members of our community to have a better life. We focus on the building blocks of a good life — a quality education, financial stability for individuals and families, and good health. The work of UWBG focuses on strategic initiatives, public education, advocacy, outcomes and evaluation, development and strengthening of partnerships/collaborations, convening, resource mobilization and investment as well as backbone and engagement strategies and activities. We bring together the voices, the expertise, and the resources to define, articulate and implement a common agenda for change for our region. That is what it means to "Live United" in Central Kentucky.
POSITION
The Development Officer, Stewardship & Data Mining (DOSDM) implements and refines methods to support UWBG’s process driven approach for donor relationships to build maximum resources for achievement of community impact objectives. This DOSDM guides the donor and prospect engagement effort by creating database management strategies to effectively identify and measure the strength of current donor and prospect relationships and create an inward flow of prospects through direct marketing activities. He/She establishes, promotes, and strengthens relationships with, as well as solicits donations from, individual/corporate donors who do not donate through an employee campaign. The DOSDM provides necessary donor information and reporting to President and Chief Executive Officer, Vice President, Resource Development, and other team members as appropriate. The DOSDM’s stewardship functions have a direct bearing on the quality of relationships between the UWBG and its donors. He/She will maintain positive donor relations which contributes to ongoing and long-term donor support of UWBG. The DOSDM will be responsible for creating customized stewardship plans to ensure that significant donors are recognized and stewarded in a way that is meaningful to them, so that their relationship with UWBG is strengthened and deepened.
