The Manager of Sleep Lab is responsible for assuming and facilitating the delivery of comprehensive quality care through the appropriate management of human and material resources for the department of the sleep lab. Plans, develops, and implements departmental policies and procedures, annual goals and objectives, and performance improvement measures to assure quality, safety and patient satisfaction.
GENERAL DUTIES - Manages the acquisition of sleep study data, and ensures correct patient registration and scoring of tests, as required.
- Leads a team of sleep technicians by performing all necessary tasks, as needed. Performs other types of sleep studies as specifically ordered by referring physician.
- Introduces and applies CPAP/BIPAP/oxygen as needed. Documents changes in treatment and rational for changes throughout titration process.
- Establishes optimal treatment level for patient considering patient comfort, compliance and effectiveness of therapy and reports optimal treatment level/oxygen level recommendations for interpreting physician.
- Maintains an adequate inventory of supplies, coordinates purchases keeping within budgeted allocations, and monitors new processes to determine if there are ways to enhance revenue and/or reduce costs.
- Monitors and manages long term monitoring schedules with appropriate staffing.
- Demonstrates and actively promotes compliance with all state and federal regulatory and accrediting agencies (i.e., patient safety, infection control, HIPAA, etc.).
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS - 1 year of experience in Clinical - Sleep Medicine or Respiratory Procedures/Pediatric preferred/Sleep Center (CHNOLA/WJMC)
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS - Required: Associate's Degree in a related field (CHNOLA)

SKILLS AND ABILITIES - Basic Life Support (BLS) healthcare provider certification required.
