We are on the hunt for a dynamic, innovative, and results-driven Permanent Plant Manager to join our thriving manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management, direction, and coordination of plant operations. This role requires a candidate with a strong background in manufacturing, turn-around, production, employees, human resources, engineering, and accounting. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for driving operational excellence. This role requires a commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
2. Develop processes that will maximize safety, quality, and productivity.
3. Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed customers’ expectations.
4. Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
5. Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
6. Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions.
7. Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
8. Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts.
9. Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
10. Recruit, manage and develop plant staff.
11. Commit to plant safety procedures.
12. Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff.
13. Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime.
14. Oversee and manage budget activities, revenue, and expenses, and ensure all financial goals are met.
15. Foster a well-trained and motivated staff.

Qualifications:

1. Proven 5+ years of work experience as a Plant Manager in the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven managerial experience in manufacturing, turn-around, production, employees, human resources, engineering, and accounting.
3. Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources).
4. Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise.
5. Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes.
6. Ability to create accountability and to lead by example.
7. Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills.
8. Ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels.
9. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
11. BSc/Ba in Business Management or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus.
12. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
