Job Title:  Power BI/SQL Developer

Location:  McLean, VA

Duration: 12months

Job Description;

• Design and develop automated reports and interactive dashboards using Power BI and SSRS.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, ensuring that functional specifications meet their needs.

• Utilize TSQL, Power Query, MDX, DAX, and other tools on the MS SQL Server BI Stack to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data.

• Understand and apply database concepts including relational database architecture and multidimensional database design.

• Create data models that convert raw data into meaningful insights, aligning with business objectives.

• Develop technical specifications based on business needs and establish deadlines for project completion.

• Produce comprehensive data documentation, including descriptions of techniques, parameters, models, and relationships used in reporting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field.

• Proven experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a similar role.

• Proficiency in Power BI, SSRS, TSQL, Power Query, MDX, and DAX.

• Strong understanding of database concepts, including relational and multidimensional databases.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience in project management and delivering reports on time.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with data visualization best practices.

• Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.

• Knowledge of advanced statistical methods and data analysis techniques.

• Understanding of cloud-based BI solutions.
