Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach is looking for full time Seasonal Server to join Seaway, our exciting outdoor restaurant team.
We are looking for individuals that strive for excellence and are highly motivated team players. The ideal candidate will have prior Food & Beverage experience in a luxury resort/hotel setting and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The Server has direct contact with guests and as such, good communication skills are crucial. The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule with the ability to work morning/afternoon shifts, weekends, and holidays and is able to work in outside conditions year-round.
This position is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. The Server position provides an enjoyable, expertly served beverage or dining experience conforming to Four Seasons standards of excellence for quality, professionalism and friendliness. Servers anticipate and service guests needs before being asked and are knowledgeable about all available menu options, beverage lists and daily specials.
What you will do JOB FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES: - To demonstrate through knowledge and ability, the execution of the service steps (i.e. greeting the guest(s), taking their order, serving of food, wine etc. during operating hours).
- To offer service all guests in a manner which exceeds expectations.
- To understand methods of preparation and presentation of all foods served.
- To have a solid knowledge of the wine and beverages served in the Restaurant, Bar and Terrace.
- To be vigilantly attentive to service details and product quality while maintaining relationships with guests seated at the bar.
- To collect food from the kitchen when required.
- To assist in other Food and Beverage areas when requested to do so, as business volumes require.
- To be able to create consistent beverages regardless of business levels.
- To quickly assess guests' needs and flex style appropriately.
- To use the guests' names whenever possible, in accordance with company policy and procedure.
- To add style to a dynamic environment.
- To build and maintain rapport with regular guests (both residents and non-residents) as well as cultivating relationships with new patrons.
- To remain calm, composed and in control, even in unusual situations.
- To effectively handle guest complaints, compliments, concerns or special request
What you bring - Sk ills and Abilities : Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
- Education: High school education or equivalent experience
- Experience: At least 6 months experience within the same or similar position with Four Seasons or other organization. Hotel or restaurant experience preferred
