Position Description:

Under the direction of the Business Office Manager, is responsible for scheduling all surgeries and procedures at the facility and the coordination of an effective, efficient, admission process.

• Enters all reservations and patient demographic & insurance data into the patient information system.
• Alerts the appropriate persons as to any special equipment or physical needs for each patient, and creates the chart for each patient encounter.
• Provides insurance information to the Verification Specialists.
• Coordinates individual surgeon schedules with the surgeon offices of assignment.
• Utilizes the computer in most aspects of the position.

Qualifications

• 1 year of previous Scheduling experience required
• 1 year of previous orthopedic experience preferred.
• Maintains strictest confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations
• Regular and predictable attendance
