Job Title: TIG Welder

Pay Rate: $20-22/hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Location: Largo, FL

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience welding light-gauge aluminum, stainless steel, and steel for sheet metal fabrication, as well as a strong commitment to quality and safety standards. This position plays a critical role in maintaining production flow and delivering high-quality results in a collaborative manufacturing environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Welding and Fabrication: Perform TIG welding on light-gauge aluminum, stainless steel, and steel for sheet metal fabrication, adhering to quality and safety standards.
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret and follow customer and company drawings to ensure precise fabrication.
• Safety Compliance: Maintain adherence to safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards, including AWS certifications.
• Production Flow Support: Help facilitate the movement of materials, components, and documentation within and across departments to meet production schedules.
• Cross-Departmental Assistance: Provide support in other manufacturing departments as needed to meet operational goals.
• Organization and Cleanliness: Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with workplace safety standards.
• Inspection: Conduct inspections of parts to ensure quality standards are met.
• Additional Tasks: Carry out other duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations.

Requirements:

• Proven ability to TIG weld light-gauge aluminum, stainless steel, and steel; successful completion of a welding test is required.
• Knowledge of and adherence to AWS certifications (AWS D17.1 preferred; AWS D17.2 / D17.2M:2007 certification is an asset).
• High attention to detail and quality-minded approach.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Strong understanding of and commitment to quality and safety standards.
• Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work a consistent schedule.
• Physical capability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Experience with mechanical tools and inspection equipment.
• Manufacturing experience in ISO and AS9100 environments is preferred.

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
