The Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota (AERC) is hiring a Full Time Inventory and Pharmacy Manager to join our established Inventory/Pharmacy Department! The preferred applicant will be an experienced veterinary or medical professional with an interest in inventory, medicine/pharmacy, project management, and collaboration between multiple departments.

Role Title: Inventory and Pharmacy Manager

Department: Inventory & Pharmacy

Shift: Day

Schedule: Monday - Friday

  • Nights, weekends, and holidays may be required to complete project deadlines on occasion.

The Inventory & Pharmacy Manager is responsible for the operations of the Inventory and Pharmacy departments. This includes purchasing, storing, and distributing of products while maintaining optimized stock levels and minimizing the cost of goods sold. In the pharmacy they will be responsible for regulation compliance, ensuring proper storage and dispensing of medications, and providing customer service. This is a leadership position and reports to the Business & Service Director.

Pharmacy, Inventory, and Vendor Service

  • You are comfortable and experienced with ordering supplies and consumables in a medical setting.
  • You have previous supervisory or leadership experiences and have a passion for continued growth and development.
  • You have a thorough understanding of medical equipment and can troubleshoot issues before escalating to vendor repair

Leadership and Continued Professional Development

  • Skills can be taught. We value training and professional development. However, this position requires previous leadership, management or supervisory experiences.
  • This position will be responsible for managing controlled substances ordering, fulfillment, tracking, and adherence to government regulations. Experience in this area is strongly preferred.
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous
    improvement.
  • This is a nonanimal handling role. Although you will not physically be handling patients often, you will work closely alongside them while focusing efforts to provide the best client care and support possible to both clients and the referring community.
