**Must be Nationally Certified - CPhT and have a active and clear NC Pharmacy Technician license**

**This is a Closed-Door non-patient facing position **

Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician Locatio n: Cary, NC - Hybrid, opportunity to work remotely from home with onsite requirements

Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician Compensation: $19.00 - $21.00 p/hr **Based on Licensure, Certifications and Experience**

Prior Authorization - Pharmacy Technician Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm 11am - 8pm

What does the Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician do?

• Locate and enter accurate prescription insurance information on patients profile by processing eligibility checks and adjudicating pharmacy claims.
• Adjudicate claims and troubleshoot rejections so that the correct information is communicated to the patient
• Communicate the need for medication prior authorization PA to providers and serve as a resource to the provider during the PA process.
• Manage inbound calls from patients clients physicians practitioners and clinics regarding inquiries about order status services provided financial support options
• Serve as a technical resource pertaining to adjudication while identifying areas for improvement.
• Entering detailed accurate and grammatically correct progress notes to ensure proper documentation on patient profiles.
• Contact patients to schedule medication delivery and payment so that accurate information is included in their profile and distribution can successfully send their package in a timely manner

Pharmacy Technician Qualifications/Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2+ years experience is required
• Insurance and prior authorization experience required
• Active Pharmacy Technician license with no restrictions in the state of North Carolina required
• Must be Nationally Certified as a Pharmacy Technician CPhT
